After 20 years in public schools here in Alvin, TX (halfway between Houston and Galveston) and 4 years teaching various writing courses at Alvin Community College, plus 34 years at University of Houston Clear Lake (UH has about 7 campuses in its system.), I am teaching at Apogee Gulf Coast, a private school in Alvin. And, I would NEVER allow my 10-15-year-olds write such a clunky sentence. LOL
So true!

I plan to use this, if it’s ok, with my students (age 13-15) during National Poetry Month. TY for sharing it here.

And to what city/state do I have the honor?
Tell the students I say hello!
